Pigmeat Pete Smith 1952 -
Many musicians attending the Jammy Dodgers remember the guitarist and songwriter Pigmeat Pete. In the 1970s he played guitar in the Lee Kosmin Band and the early 1980s saw him join his brother Rob in the Skiff Skats. Pete’s other bands included the 35th May, Blue Rhythm Methodists, Roma Pierre & her Back Door Men and Daddy Longlegs.
The picture above was taken at the 100 Club, Oxford Street on 19 March 1989 when
Roma Pierre & her Back Door Men played. For more photos from the night click here.
